The salon environment is very clean. They are very affordable in east village location for balayage work and do a great job. They are a big company have many location in Manhattan is a place you can trust.
Had the worst experience at this Salon today!! BEWARE!!!!!! I purchased from groupon thinking I got a great deal only to realize I was being charged $50 extra for toner/glossing!! Meryln who worked there had such terrible customer service and refused to do my highlights unless I paid the extra fees and used her extra products that I did not want!! She told me that she wouldn’t know how to do the highlights if I didn’t pay the extra $50 what kind of hair professional would say that?! I asked for regular highlights without the extra products or glossing. Don’t push customers into something they don’t want done on their hair!!! Save your money and time people. There are plenty of other salons who will understand what you actually want! HORRIBLE!! Walked right out of the salon and luckily groupon refunded me.
Merlyn is the best! She knows how to deal with dark hair going light without the damage. As a native NYer I EXPECT the best. I found them on Groupon a few months back and now a full-time customer.
If I could I wouldn't even give this place one star . They ruined my hair and when I called to complain they hung up on me. I I went into Stage Salon the night before a trip to California. I showed the exact picture of what I wanted and discussed color in detail with the stylist. He assured me over and over that he understood and that my hair was going to look exactly like the photo. I waited in anticipation and when I came back from getting my shampoo my hair was golden blonde, I asked for dark brown with caramel low-lights. My whole head was gold. I was in shock. They tried to but glaze after glaze and nothing worked. I was there until 10:30 pm after 4 1/2 hours. One stylist offered to have me go back when I return from my trip to try to fix it again. I paid reluctantly but planned to try again. I went back two weeks later and one again glaze after glaze.
The team at Stage are really friendly, service is on point, and the price is affordable. Ed gives a lot of attention to detail and is my go to stylist. 5 stars for sure.
